This segment is basically the literary version of the NFL’s primetime games, really poopy. These are players who literally and figuratively dropped the ball in Week 7.  Hopefully, you didn’t have too many of them in your lineup.  For the full discussion, check out the podcast.

Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson @ AZ
225 passing yards
This game was just awful.  Historically, awful.

Eli Manning @ LA (London)
196 passing yards
If you are reading this from London, first of all, Bonjour! Second of all, I promise the NFL is better than this.

Running Backs

Jordan Howard @ GB
7 carries, 22 rushing yards
More concerning than his 3.141592645 ypc, was that Howard took a backseat to Ka’Deem Carey.  Remember that Carey has been slowed by injury and John Fox prefers to go with veterans when he has the option.

Terrance West @ NYJ
-8 carries, 10 rushing yards
Oh boy.  I want to get excited about Kenneth Dixon, but if he was going to start to take over, this was his opportunity.

Matt Jones @ DET
10 carries, 27 rushing yards
To quote Coach Boone, “You fumble the football, and I will break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts and then you will run a mile.” C’mon Jones.

Christine Michael @ AZ
16 carries, 52 rushing yards, 3 receptions, 3 receiving yards
C-Mike has been wide awake for weeks, he was bound to get sleepy eventually.

Wide Receivers

Allen Robinson vs OAK
2 receptions, 9 receiving yards, 8 targets
Find out what the writers think about A-Rob in this week’s edition of Burning Questions.

Jordy Nelson @ CHI
-1 reception, 9 receiving yards, 4 targets
He still has monster upside, but you have to believe his ACL in limiting his lateral movement.  He’s a 9-route or bust.

Jordan Matthews vs MIN
3 receptions, 10 receiving yards, 4 targets
Remember Wentz-sylvania? Good times.

Jeremy Kerley vs TB
2 receptions, 15 receiving yards, 4 targets
Kerley has gotten lost in the Colin Kaepernick takeover of this offense.

Stefon Diggs @ PHI
2 receptions, 18 receiving yards, 5 targets
Diggs has the talent to get it done.  Just know inconsistency is to be expected from Bradford.  This team is still working on building chemistry.

Terrelle Pryor vs CIN
2 receptions, 18 receiving yards, 4 targets
Hobbled by injury combined with Kevin Hogan as the QB.  D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R.

Amari Cooper @ JAX
4 receptions, 29 receiving yards, 5 targets
If you’re looking for the #2 WR for the Raiders…
That’s Amari.

Alshon Jeffery @ GB
3 receptions, 33 receiving yards, 11 targets
Get well soon, Jay Cutler.

Brandon Marshall vs BAL
-3 receptions, 39 receiving yards, 8 targets
The targets were there, but they made a QB change mid game.  Better days are ahead for Marshall.

Jeremy Maclin vs NO
4 receptions, 40 receiving yards, 5 targets
I’m done making excuses for Maclin.  This was a dream matchup at home.

Kenny Britt vs NYG (London)
3 receptions, 43 receiving yards, 8 targets
Really, London, I promise we can do better.

DeSean Jackson @ DET
5 receptions, 35 receiving yards, 8 targets
I expect more from D-Jax when Cousins throws for 300 yards and there’s no Jordan Reed.

Tight Ends

Martellus Bennett @ PIT
1 reception, 5 receiving yards, 2 targets
Bennett will have games like this where he is almost exclusively used as a blocker.  He only ran 10 routes in this game.

Hunter Henry @ ATL
1 reception, 16 receiving yards, 3 targets
Not dissimilar to Bennett, he’s a #2 TE on his team.  Inconsistency can be expected.

Zach Ertz vs MIN
1 reception, 14 receiving yards, 3 targets
Carson Wentz is really starting to struggle, this was the Vikings though.

Travis Kelce vs NO
2 receptions, 24 receiving yards, 3 targets
Kelce is an elite talent it is criminal that he only received 3 targets.

Kickers

Another awful week of kicking was summed up perfectly in the Sunday Night matchup between Hauschka and Catanzaro.  In total, NFL kickers, who claim to be professionals, missed 13 FGs and 2 PATs.
