Week 6 QB Streamers
The Fantasy Footballers are back with your Week 6 edition of Full Stream Ahead. This article will provide you with 4 QBs who are available in at least 40% of leagues who we believe can deliver starter-worthy numbers. You can check out the discussion of the QB streamers, as well as a full waiver wire breakdown for Week 6 on the podcast.
Dak Prescott @ GB (ESPN 54.3%, Yahoo 56%)
The Green Bay defense is still susceptible to the pass, although they looked good last week that was a product of having a week off to prepare for a struggling Giants team. This week they have to respect the Dallas rushing attack which will leave passing lanes open for Dak. While the ceiling may not be sky high for Prescott, he has been a steady QB who protects the football. He can also chip in with his athleticism. He feels safe for 250 yards and 2 TDs or an equivalent.
–Mike Wright, @FFHitman
Brian Hoyer vs JAX (ESPN 16.6%, Yahoo 18%)
Since taking over the starting job in Chicago, Hoyer has been the QB#3 in fantasy football. Over those 3 games, Hoyer is averaging 338 yards and 2 TDs with no INTs. These numbers are fantasy gold, and if he had any other name on the back of his jersey we would start him without a second thought. He has plenty of options with the emergence of Jordan Howard and Cameron Meredith to go with Jeffery, Royal and Miller and this week he gets the Jaguars and their middle of the road defense.
–Jason Moore, @jasonffl
Marcus Mariota vs CLE (ESPN 31.9%, Yahoo 48%)
Try not to think of this as chasing points from Mariota’s monster Week 5, and more of targeting a Browns defense who is giving up 300 yards/game through the air to go with 2.6 TDs. Mariota is always a threat to gain yards on the ground and has enough options in the passing game to get it done at home.
–Andy Holloway, @andyholloway *pick made by Mike and Jason. Put your name on it!
Alex Smith @ OAK (ESPN 23.4%, Yahoo 18%)
This is another prime opportunity to pick on a struggling defense. The Raiders have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to QBs this season to the tune of 338 yards and 2.4 TDs per game. If that isn’t enough to entice you, enter Alex Smith who is averaging 17.7 fantasy points/week and has been doing so without Jamaal Charles in the lineup. I expect big things from Smith with a healthy Charles to go with Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce and Spencer Ware. Additionally, like Dak and Marcus, Alex can chip in a few rushing yards to pad his stats.
