NFL Week 15 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)
Cold…snow…injuries…teams knocked out of playoffs picking up players from the waiver wire. Fantasy Championships must be coming up. Last week was about as good as it gets for this time of year, but we have a few weather trouble spots in store for Week 15.

Fantasy Impact: It’s cold, but this contest is between two cold weather teams so it shouldn’t matter right? Probably wrong. Aaron Rodgers has played in five sub-21° games. In those five games he threw for a combined 6 TDs although he did manage to average 254.6 yards passing, which isn’t too far off from his career average. I’m making Rodgers a fringe QB1. Davante Adams has only played in one ‘frigid’ game where he turned 6 targets into 2 receptions for 25 yards. That’s a very small sample size and I’m not going to go so far as to bench him, but the cold is definitely significant enough to bump Davante Adams down to WR2 territory. Aaron Jones hasn’t had more than 5 carries in any game nearly this cold, but he seems to thrive in cold weather games (21-40°) averaging 5.5 yards/carry and .73 TDs/game. I won’t say the cold will necessarily help him, but I’m not as worried about the cold affecting his play as I am some of the others.
After a horrendous start to the season, Mitchell Trubisky has turned in two consecutive 3-TD outings. I think the streak ends in this game. The Green Bay defensive line should be able to overwhelm the Chicago offensive line. Between extra pressure and frigid temperatures, I’m not sure Trubisky can be trusted even in two-QB leagues. If Trubisky has trouble finding success, Allen Robinson‘s ceiling is capped. No other Chicago offensive weapon can be trusted as anything more than a flex play.
If you’re going to this game, you’re a heartier folk than I. Dress up–it’ll feel like 8°. At least it’s a dry cold!?
