The Fantasy Footballers’ Week 13 Starts
This is a huge week for anyone sitting on that playoff bubble! There’s no room for error so here are The Footballers’ Week 13 Starts from today’s episode!
Andy’s Starts
QB Philip Rivers vs Tampa Bay
Rivers has been brutally consistent this year with 2-2-3-3 TDs in the last 4 weeks. San Diego is at home and I like the matchup.
RB Theo Riddick at New Orleans
Should be a high scoring affair, a RB2 on the season but a RB1 for me this week in half or full point.
WR Tyreek Hill at Atlanta
Facing Atlanta, he’s the focus of the Kansas City offense right now and explosive. Should have lots of opportunities again if Maclin sits again with the groin. He’s a must start to me vs. ATL.
TE C.J. Fiedorowicz at Green Bay
Green Bay is 25th against TE and Fiedorowicz has been good for 3-6 catches consistently. He offers a “won’t crap your team” guarantee with some upside. He’s my #7 overall TE this week.
Mike’s Starts
QB Andrew Luck vs New York Jets
Luck gets to play the jets in primetime. My SOTW because so many questions are coming in, Luck vs Kap – Luck vs Carr – Luck vs Tyrod. There are very few QBs I like over Luck this week.
RB Devontae Booker at Jacksonville
24 carries in the last 2 games with 76+ rushing yards. He has fallen out of the favor of fantasy players despite being the workhorse of that offense. Jacksonville is very beatable on the ground.
WR Stefon Diggs vs Dallas
I’m taking a little risk a guy coming off of injury, but the change in the offense is real. 13 receptions in back to back weeks until a down week against Patrick Peterson-everyone has a down week against PatP. The Dallas DBs can be beat.
TE Vance McDonald at Chicago
I’m gonna stay in these flames – 84/50/46/60 yards with a couple TD receptions. Kaep is playing well, which has elevated McDonald.
Jason’s Starts
QB Russell Wilson vs Carolina
People don’t want to start him after his stinker, but they are going to have something to prove. Luke Kuechly will probably be out. They are at home. I’ve got no problem starting him.
RB Carlos Hyde at Chicago
He’s been really solid in almost every game he’s played. The Chicago Bears are a wreck right now.
WR Brandin Cooks vs Detroit
Squeaky wheel. Detroit. Brees at home. Nuff said.
TE Eric Ebron at New Orleans
LOTS of people not wanting to start him after a goose egg. A 0/0/0 line. Even great players put up duds sometimes.
Eric’s Starts
QB Matthew Stafford at New Orleans
Stafford has been killing fantasy teams lately and not in a good way. He hasn’t exceeded 300 yards since Week 3 and he only has 5 TDs in his last five games. Despite giving up the sixth-most passing yards/game, Jared Goff’s 3 TD performance was the first time the New Orleans defense allowed 3 passing TDs all year. This is a high floor-low ceiling SOTW.
RB Jordan Howard vs San Francisco
Cleveland gives up the second-most rushing yards/game at 140.6, which is a full 31.2 yards better than San Francisco who gives up 171.8 rushing yards/game. Howard has been the lone bright spot for the Chicago offense and now he pretty much is the only show in town. Trust him this week.
WR Willie Snead vs Detroit
This is a contrarian play to Jason’s SOTW Brandin Cooks. The New Orleans passing offense is very good, especially at home, and the Detroit passing defense is very bad. I also think Cooks has a good game, but I just have a need for Snead. Against Detroit last year, Snead erupted for 10 receptions for 76 yards and I think he puts up similar numbers with a nice shot at a TD or two this week.
TE Antonio Gates vs Tampa Bay
Last week was one big FAIL without a single target for Gates, but he simply wasn’t really needed in a win over Houston. Gates had been targeted exactly 9 times in the three games before Houston and scored a TD in each of those games. Five games left in the season-3 TDs needed to pass Tony Gonzalez’s TD record-You do the math. If Rivers is throwing the ball anywhere inside the 10-yard line, he’ll be looking for Gates.
Jason Moore’s Ironclad, Lock-and-Loaded 100% Guaranteed ‘Boom Boom Kicker of the Week’
Jason is back. He’s retooled his algorithm. Dan Bailey belongs in the coffee this week. He’s one of the best kickers of all time. The offense is excellent against a good defense making it hard to punch it in. Bailey is the Boom Boom Kicker of the Week this Week.
