I’m back! Did you miss me? While I was gone many leagues saw their trade deadline come and go. This means that for many of us if we have a roster need to address, the waiver wire is now the only way to get that done.  The Footballers have a few options that may be available in your league. You can listen to the full discussion on the podcast.

Wide Receivers

Steve Smith Sr. @ DAL (ESPN 60%, Yahoo 66%)
In his first week back from injury, Senor played 85% of the snaps en route to 5 receptions for 60 yards and a score.  He is their #1 WR when healthy.

Rishard Matthews @ IND (ESPN 35%, Yahoo 54%)
A talented, if under-utilized WR.  Matthews has been getting it done in Tennessee’s low volume passing attack.  He has 6 TDs in his last 6 games.

Eli Rogers @ CLE (ESPN 20.9%, Yahoo 10%)
Martavis Bryant: Suspended. Darrius Heyward-Bey: Out. Sammie Coates: Stinks. Eli Rogers: Available.

Tyrell Williams BYE (ESPN 70%, Yahoo 74%)
If you own Williams, do not drop him this week.  If he gets dropped, scoop him up.  He’s the WR you want in San Diego ROS.

Taylor Gabriel BYE (ESPN 1.6%, Yahoo 2%)
A big-play receiver who can make for a decent add in deeper leagues, but you likely will not have to grab him this week.

Tyreek Hill vs TB (ESPN 10%, Yahoo 16%)
Don’t let Alex Smith’s risk adverse play style scare you away from Hill.  Last week Hill had 10 grabs for 89 yards and usually chips in a few rushing attempts.  They are getting him involved in some of the same ways Jamaal Charles was used in the passing game.

Cameron Meredith @ NYG (ESPN 20%, Yahoo 32%)

Eddie Royal @ NYG (ESPN 14%, Yahoo 14%)

Meredith would be my choice of the two Chicago WRs given Jeffery’s suspension.  Meredith can fill that role in the offense while Royal’s role as the underneath guy should remain unchanged.

Running Backs

James Starks @ WAS (ESPN 29%, Yahoo 28%)
With Don Jackson inactive last week, Starks served as the Packers only RB.  This is an offense that should move the ball, so Starks has value.

Rob Kelley vs GB (ESPN 47%, Yahoo 48%)
Matt Jones has been supplanted by Kelley in Washington.  It is going to be tough for Jones to “earn back” his job if he continues to be a healthy scratch.

C.J. Prosise vs PHI (ESPN 30%, Yahoo 35%)
Even if Rawls makes his return this week, I do not expect him to return to a workhorse role immediately.  GOATsise will remain the pass catching back and pick up his fair share of carries.

Kenneth Dixon @ DAL (ESPN 10%, Yahoo 19%)
Why are you still reading this?! Go add Dixon.

Jeremy Langford @ NYG (ESPN 32%, Yahoo 26%)
John Fox sure got the competitive advantage on fantasy owners this week.  Smh.  This is going to be a nightmare all week, as we try to figure out if Jordan Howard is fine or if he has a potentially season-threatening achilles/ankle injury.

Paul Perkins vs CHI (ESPN 35%, Yahoo 24%)
Splitting work with the aged Jennings, Perkins looked like the better runner, though the team still has more trust in Jennings to close out games.

Tight Ends

Cameron Brate @ KC (ESPN 37%, Yahoo 52%)
With all due respect to Adam Humphries (pronounced with an “-umphries”), Tampa Bay has two legitimate receiving threats: Evans and Brate.

Ladarius Green @ CLE (ESPN 8%, Yahoo 10%)
He’s alive! Maybe now he can deliver on 5 years of unfulfilled hype.

C.J. Fiedorowicz @ OAK/Mexico City (ESPN 25%, Yahoo 21%)
If you can trust anything in Houston’s offense, trust that Osweiler will check it down.

Martellus Bennett @ SF (ESPN 73%, Yahoo 71%)
Martellus Bennett put in a call to the people over at Madden and asked for them to put some bad juju out there on Gronkowski.  They released the new commercial featuring Gronk and boom… injury.

Zach Miller @ NYG (ESPN 69%, Yahoo 70%)
Talented TE who should have opportunities in this new Jeffery-less offense.

Defense/Special Teams/Kickers

Raiders vs HOU (ESPN 20.6%, Yahoo 32%)
Brock Osweiler is awful, and the Raiders have had two weeks to prepare for him.  This game will also be played at 7,349 feet, or 1.4 miles above sea level.

Steelers vs CLE (ESPN 17.3%, Yahoo 34%)
It’s Cleveland.

Giants vs CHI (ESPN 36.6%, Yahoo 14%)
This is my favorite add of the week.  The Giants get Jay Cutler and the Bears, who will be without G Kyle Long, WR Alshon Jeffery and maybe RB Jordan Howard, followed by the Browns in Week 12.

Adam Vinatieri vs TEN
Go see if the Vinatieri owner dropped him during his bye week.  He could be an upgrade at a position you’ve likely been neglecting.
