This is the first week of the 2017 season that we may see some flurries. The rain/snow in Seattle coupled with a brisk game in Green Bay serve to remind us that winter and fantasy football playoffs are right around the corner. Time to solidify your ticket to the playoffs or string a few wins together.

Denver Broncos at Philadelphia Eagles

LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

Temp: 63°
Precipitation: None
Wind: 6 mph
Wind Gusts: 17 mph

Fantasy Impact: There shouldn’t be much if any rain during the game, but there will be showers in the area leading up to the game. The precipitation shouldn’t be enough to significantly influence the game, but the field may be wet.

Washington Redskins at Seattle Seahawks
4:05 PM ET
CENTURYLINK STADIUM
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

Temp: 39°
Precipitation: Rain/Snow
Wind: 7 mph
Wind Gusts: 12 mph

Fantasy Impact: This forecast made me do a double take, but we might actually see some flurries during this game. If the depleted WR corps, loss of a few starting linemen, loss of Jordan Reed, and tough matchup against a dominant defense playing at home weren’t enough to get you away from Kirk Cousins, maybe the second consecutive week playing in lousy weather will. Washington will probably find themselves trailing the majority of this game, which would force Cousins to throw often. Without many other receiving options and a terrible offensive line, Chris Thompson should see a metric butt-ton of targets. Vernon Davis is also a sneaky play.

Russell Wilson and the Seattle offense should produce with plenty of time on the field. The only question is, can they get the run game going and which RB would benefit? My not-at-all confident answer is yes with Eddie Lacy.
