Wide Receivers
Team | Player | Roster % | Matchups |
TEN | Treylon Burks | 76% | @IND / @WAS / BYE |
TEN | Robert Woods | 34% | @IND / @WAS / BYE |
GB | Romeo Doubs | 40% | NE / NYG / NYJ |
JAX | Zay Jones | 14% | @PHI / HOU / @IND |
LV | Mack Hollins | 3% | DEN / @KC / BYE |
ARI | Greg Dortch | 34% | @CAR / PHI / @SEA |
DET | D.J. Chark | 50% | SEA / @NE / BYE |
BUF | Isaiah McKenzie | 34% | @BAL / PIT / @KC |
DAL | Michael Gallup | 55% | WAS / @LAR / @PHI |
PIT | George Pickens | 58% | NYJ / @BUF / TB |
TB | Russell Gage | 49% | KC / ATL / @PIT |
The waiver wire is a little slim this week for the wide receiver position, but there are a few options that are hopefully available for you. First, check to see if Treylon Burks or Romeo Doubs are on the wire. They are 76% and 40% rostered on Sleeper, so it’s likely they may already be taken.
Russell Gage is an option to consider while Julio Jones deals with the PCL injury. He saw some massive work against Green Bay in Week 3 when he caught 12 of his 13 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown. With Chris Godwin also battling injury, Tom Brady may be looking for him more often than not. He is 49% rostered on Sleeper.
Out of some other names who may be available, Pittsburgh’s rookie wide receiver has the best schedule moving forward. There are already questions at quarterback after questionable play by Mitchell Trubisky, but Pickens is involved in that offense. He showed incredible athleticism with an acrobatic catch against the Browns and looks comfortable in his role.

Running Backs
Team | Player | Roster % | Matchups |
DET | Jamaal Williams | 60% | SEA / @NE / BYE |
CHI | Khalil Herbert | 48% | @NYG / @MIN / WAS |
MIN | Alexander Mattison | 64% | @NO / CHI / @MIA |
PIT | Jaylen Warren | 18% | NYJ / @BUF / TB |
CIN | Samaje Perine | 9% | MIA / @BAL / @NO |
ATL | Tyler Allgeier | 33% | CLE / @TB / SF |
There are only a few things that are worse in fantasy than a litany of injuries to studs at running back. First and foremost, run… do not walk … to your waiver wire and check for Jamaal Williams, Khalil Herbert, and Alexander Mattison. If even one is available, smash that claim button or unload some serious FAAB. Williams and Herbert have already staked their claim in their respective offenses, regardless of the starters’ availability. With D’Andre Swift and David Montgomery expected to miss time, both of these running backs will see an increased workload on top of their already heavy usage.
Mattison is in a slightly different position in Minnesota. However, with Dalvin Cook likely to miss time (and possibly stay that way all season with that separated shoulder) Mattison will see a massive amount in the Vikings’ offense.

Tight Ends
Team | Player | Roster % | Matchups |
CLE | David Njoku | 38% | @ATL / LAC / NE |
NYJ | Tyler Conklin | 30% | @PIT / MIA / @GB |
GB | Robert Tonyan | 36% | NE / NYG / NYJ |
WAS | Logan Thomas | 40% | @DAL / TEN / @CHI |
Either Logan Thomas or David Njoku are decent options on the waiver this week. Njoku’s matchup is excellent against the Falcons who have given up the second-most fantasy points to tight ends. He is a great start in the short term. However, Thomas is also interesting against the Cowboys and then Tennessee.
If you can pick up and stash a TE other than Njoku and Thomas, Robert Tonyan is becoming a big part of the Packers’ offense and could be getting his breakout game soon (according to Andy Holloway).

Good luck with your waiver claims!
Comments
Can you do a list of IR stashes?
Definitely with wildkard. Would love a list of guys that are walking the tightrope.
Could group them into “definitely keep”, “wait one more week and cut if nothing”, and “get rid of this person immediately”
Is there a list of drop-able players to make room for any of these guys?
I look forward to this article each week more than all other articles out there. Thank you!!
