Trade Targets for Week 4 (Fantasy Football)
Another week, another set of absolutely devastating injuries: We lost De’Von Achane for the season and will miss time from Justin Jefferson, Baker Mayfield, Breece Hall, Travis Etienne, Mike Evans, Terrance Ferguson, and (hopefully not!) Jalen Coker.
Just brutal.
Once again, these injuries will open opportunities for second-string players to step into the spotlight, so be sure to work the waiver wire extra judiciously this time of year. As for trading, below are some targets for you to consider.
Players to Trade For
Zay Flowers
Flowers has finished as WR7 and WR22 in the two games he played this season. However, in those two games, he has played only 29% and 33% of snaps, respectively. You read that correctly. 5/150/1 TD on 29% snap share, and 5/84 on 33% snap share. Flowers was banged up in his Week 1 matchup, missed Week 2, and was eased back in in Week 3. Head Coach Jesse Minter says Flowers is ready to play his normal allotment of snaps in Week 4 (historically 85-95% snap share), so Zay could be an absolute rocket ship moving forward.

Chase Brown
Brown’s output has been uninspiring thus far, and certainly below expectations for a second-round fantasy pick. He is still sitting right at 70% snap share each game, and his usage has been solid. Brown ranks as RB19 on the season, well below the RB7 and RB10 finishes of 2025 and 2024, respectively.
I am chalking this up to the unexplainable, yet typical, slow start to the season for the Bengals. Brown, like the Bengals, seems to start slow every season; he had 15 half-PPR points through the first three games in 2024, and 23 half-PPR points through the first three games in 2025. Despite only scoring one TD this season, he is actually quite a bit ahead of his previous two seasons’ starts, with almost 34 half-PPR points. However, since he is not scoring like a Round 2 fantasy RB, I think he is attainable via a trade. The Bengals draw the vaunted Jaguars run defense this week, so I would either try to convince Brown’s manager that he is about to have a dud, or consider waiting one more week to buy.
Chase Brown is off to a slower start due to a difficult schedule (Bucs, Texans, Steelers) and he has another tough matchup with the Jaguars this week.
However, his usage is strong and the schedule will get easier.

Carnell Tate
I am putting myself out there a bit with this one. Tate’s season has not gotten off to the start we all hoped for. However, two indicators I like to look at are still promising for Tate. His snap share has been 88%, 75%, and 88% in the first three games of the season, and he has garnered six, five, and nine targets in these games. I would be more concerned if the rookie was involved in fewer snaps, as that may indicate a lack of knowledge of the playbook or lack of trust from the coaching staff. Since targets are earned in the NFL, I would also understand if he commanded fewer targets as his career began. With both of these numbers being what they are, I feel good about how 2026 has begun for the former #4 overall pick.
The Titans have been a disaster on offense, so I am not suggesting that Tate will turn into JSN by the end of the season. But it is most common for rookie WRs to deal with growing pains in their first year, and the really good ones turn in stellar second halves of the season. Despite muted passing numbers by Cam Ward, we know he is not afraid to throw the deep ball, which aligns with Tate’s strength as a WR. Tate’s aDOT was just over 10 yards in his first two games; I expect that number to increase as the season continues. If he and Ward can connect on a few deep shots, Tate’s weekly numbers will start to look more exciting.

Players to Trade Away
Cam Skattebo
I can already hear your disbelief: “How could you trade away an RB from a team that just picked up JJ McCarthy?!” Listen, Skat has been fed the rock, and he currently sits as RB20 (just one spot behind Chase Brown, coincidentally). However, the arrows for Skat and Brown are pointing in completely opposite directions, in my opinion.
The offense did not look great under Jameis Winston’s direction, and it is tough to imagine it will look any better if/when McCarthy gets an opportunity. The schedule looks rough ahead as well, with matchups against the mighty Arizona Cardinals (actually tough against the run!), the Commanders, and the Texans in three of New York’s next four games. After a Week 8 bye, Skattebo will face Philadelphia, Washington, and Jacksonville consecutively.
It could be a long, ugly midseason stretch for an RB who is already only averaging 3.54 YPC.
Bo Nix
I know QB trades can be tricky, but they are possible. There are also more and more 2QB and SuperFlex leagues these days, so I figured Nix was worth mentioning. Nix is coming off of a strong fantasy performance on SNF, and I think this is a good time to capitalize.
For starters, I just don’t think Nix is a very good QB. I watched the SNF game, and Nix made several mental mistakes and poor throws. He was bailed out at the end of the game on a play where the Rams were called for a Pass Interference that 1) was not PI, and 2) was actually an INT. Also, the Broncos offense has looked very inconsistent thus far, and they are having all sorts of trouble putting together any threat of a run game (the team averaged 4.1 YPC, 3.7 YPC, and 3.1 YPC in their first three games this season). Finally, the Broncos WRs have not lived up to the preseason hype. Jaylen Waddle has had one monster game, sandwiched by two duds; Courtland Sutton looks like a shell of his former self; and Patrick Bryant is still inconsistent at best.
Give me Jared Goff, Matthew Stafford, or Sam Darnold over Nix.

The 2024 WR class… Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze, Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Ladd McConkey
What a ROUGH start to the season for this crew! Once heralded as one of the best WR classes in years, we are now all aboard the struggle bus with MHJ (Trade Away article darling), Rome, Nabers, BTJ, and Ladd.
These are still young, promising WRs, and their name value and previous success should still command a decent value for you. I hate selling Nabers this low, so I’d probably wait a couple more weeks before bailing there. As for the others? They are all fair game, as far as I am concerned. McConkey is at least still a good player, but playing through injuries and playing on the surprising dumpster-fire Chargers has really hampered his production.
If you include injuries to Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, and the disappearance of Drake Maye, this 2024 class is leaving A LOT to be desired, in hindsight. Not even worth mentioning are RB1 and RB2 Jonathon Brooks and Trey Benson. What happened here?? At least we got Brock Bowers out of this turd fest of a draft class.
