Welcome back to the weekly Targets Per Route Run Report, and thanks for making it part of your weekly prep. Let’s look back at the games just played and see where that points us for Week 7 and beyond, as the bye weeks are in full swing.

Quick refresher: TPRR = targets ÷ routes run. It’s an on-field efficiency signal that often leads production by a week or two. Throughout this series, if you see a percentage after a player’s name, that is his TPRR unless otherwise indicated.

As a general guideline, ~20% is considered a baseline; 25–30% is excellent, and anything above 30% is elite territory.

Week 6 Notes

  • It wasn’t a helpful fantasy day, but Davante Adams notched a 33% TPRR against Baltimore, his best rate since Week 2. Puka Nacua is at best 50/50 to suit up in Jacksonville, and Matthew Stafford will target Adams as his WR1 if Puka sits. Note: Tyler Higbee was targeted four times on only 14 routes (28% TPRR). It’s not a big sample size, but I’d consider Higbee as a TE for managers in a pinch or looking to make a budget work on DFS.
  • Kendrick Bourne (22.5%) has stepped into a relevant role with the litany of injuries in San Fran. With Jauan Jennings dealing with multiple broken ribs and a new injury every week, Bourne should receive the bulk of the receiver volume while defenses stack up to slow down Christian McCaffrey.
  • Drake London (40%) was the only Falcons receiver to record a catch against the Bills. Atlanta will lean on Bijan Robinson to drive the offense, but the bulk of the passes will go to #5.

 The Season So Far

  • Chris Olave‘s TPRR has been above 30% in every game bar one (Week 4 @ BUF). He is limited with a hip injury this week, but he could be a big contributor down the stretch if the Saints can get any consistency on offense or capitalize on garbage time.
  • You have to scroll down a long way to see DJ Moore on this list; he is hovering at 15% for the season and ranked #72 among eligible receivers. One of the major issues this season is that Moore is not being targeted on deep routes. Rome Odunze has seen 11 targets of 20+ yards, where Moore has been targeted three times. With the Bears’ mediocre pass attempts per game (and a -3% Pass Rate Over Expectation), Moore isn’t going to do much damage without more screen plays or deep targets. However, if you want to bet on talent, Chicago has some favorable matchups coming up against New Orleans and Baltimore.
  • In Tyreek Hill‘s absence, De’Von Achane has, as expected, stepped up his game. However, Jaylen Waddle has also put together back-to-back quality weeks, with a TPRR above 26% in Weeks 5 and 6, absorbing the targets vacated by Hill. He should return WR2/3 value as long as he’s healthy.

That’s it for this week. The full lists are provided below, starting with Week 6 and followed by the season so far. Feel free to ask any questions about specific players in the comments.
