Week 5 was a wet and wild weekend for quite a few games in the NFL. If you were impacted by Hurricane Isaias or by Hurricane Rachel, I hope you have a quick recovery. The good news is that this weekend, the tropical activity has ceased. So most of our games this weekend won’t have the same issues that we had last week.

What does the week ahead have in store for us? Find out below, dear reader!

It’s football time, baby!

Sunday Morning Game (London Game)

Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

LOW–MEDIUM impact. Light rain showers will move through the area intermittently during the game. Winds will stay slightly elevated, with sustained speeds in the high single digits and gusts reaching the mid-teens. Temperatures will hover in the upper 50s. While it will be damper than recent London games, there is no reason to bench your studs.

Sunday Early Afternoon Games

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns

LOW impact. A picture-perfect October Sunday in Cleveland: sunny skies, light winds, and temperatures in the low 60s. No weather concerns here.

New York Jets @ New England Patriots

LOW impact. Clear skies, single-digit winds, and temperatures in the low 50s. You cannot ask for much better. Start your usual options with confidence.

New Orleans Saints @ New York Giants

LOW impact. Another Northeast matchup with favorable conditions. Expect mostly sunny skies, winds around 6–7 mph, and temperatures in the low 50s. Start everyone you normally would.

Carolina Panthers @ Philadelphia Eagles

LOW impact. The favorable weather trends continue. Winds will remain in the single digits, temperatures will reach the mid-50s, and sunshine will be plentiful. Fire up all your regular starters.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

MEDIUM impact. Finally, a game where conditions will alter game plans. Sustained winds will sit in the mid-teens with gusts pushing into the high 20s. Sustained wind in that range disrupts deep passing mechanics and field goal attempts. The silver lining is that rain won’t be a factor, with temperatures in the comfortable mid-70s. Downgrade your QBs, deep-threat WRs, and kickers.

Sunday Late Afternoon Games

Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs

LOW impact.Optimal conditions at Arrowhead: sunny skies, temperatures in the upper 60s, and single-digit sustained winds. All systems go.

Sunday Night Game

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

LOW impact. A crisp, clear evening at Lambeau Field. Winds will be slightly elevated with sustained speeds in the low teens, and temperatures will sit in the low 50s. Start your studs in this hopefully high-scoring affair. I’m giving it the “GOOD WEATHER GAME OF THE WEEK” to ensure it’s high-scoring.

Monday Night Game

Washington Commanders @ San Francisco 49ers

LOW-MEDIUM impact. Early forecasts suggest light rain could approach Santa Clara late Monday night, likely closer to the fourth quarter. It shouldn’t significantly alter play-calling or ball security, and game-time temperatures will be in the mid-50s with mild winds. Keep your usual lineup intact unless forecasts shift toward heavier, earlier accumulation

Best of luck to your team in the week ahead!
