Fantasy Football: Week 4 Streamers to Consider
As fantasy managers near the end of the first month of the fantasy season, we have enough information to really start making informed decisions from week to week as to where value can be found, where we might not have looked previously.
With injuries piling up on fantasy rosters, managers might need to just find a start for this week to get them through, and that is why we are here!
Let’s get into Week 4 streamers!
Quarterbacks
Tyler Shough
QB - NO
To be honest, I am not really sure how Tyler Shough is only rostered in 49% of fantasy leagues. All Shough has done to start the season is finish as a top-8 QB in each of his starts to begin the season, including a four-passing TD performance Sunday against the Raiders. Shough shouldn’t be on the waiver wire after posting the highest fantasy score of his career this past week, but with another home matchup next Monday night against the Falcons, he should be able to deliver for fantasy managers again in Week 4.
Sam Darnold
QB - SEA
The return for Sam Darnold wasn’t pretty on the field, but the Seahawks QB turned in the QB1 overall finish behind four passing TDs after missing basically all of the first two games of the season due to injury. While it is not usual for Seattle to be in the kind of shootout they lost to the Commanders on Sunday, it is always nice to see that Darnold has the ability to reach the elite ceiling as he did in Week 3 when given the opportunity. A date with the winless Chargers lies ahead in Week 4, and Darnold will have a chance to take on a defense that has allowed 24 points in all three games this season.
Marcus Mariota
QB - WAS
The opportunity for Marcus Mariota to step into a starting QB role again for the Commanders presents a real opportunity for fantasy goodness as a streaming option this week. Fantasy managers have seen this play out before with Mariota when he started eight games in 2025 and put together three top-10 QB finishes during that stretch. The appeal for Mariota as a streaming option this week comes due to a strong matchup against a Colts defense that is currently allowed the third-most passing yards in the league and is one of just four teams that haven’t recorded an interception this season. Mariota is literally available in 99% of leagues, and fantasy managers could do much worse if they are needing to make a change at QB this week.
Tight Ends
Kenyon Sadiq
TE - NYJ
Maybe one of the weirdest offseasons for a top-16 NFL Draft pick has led us to where Kenyon Sadiq is considered a streaming option for fantasy. The rookie TE was battling injuries for most of the pre-season, but now that he has finally gotten onto the field for the Jets, he’s really making an impact. Sadiq has now finished as a top-12 TE in two of his first three games, including a nabbing seven receptions for 105 yards in Week 3 en route to a TE3 finish. With fellow TE Mason Taylor likely to miss action again this week, Sadiq could potentially establish himself as a weekly TE for fantasy.
Juwan Johnson
TE - NO
It is rare that a TE who has established himself as such an essential part of a passing offense is still floating out there in a third of fantasy leagues, but that is where Juwan Johnson finds himself. Johnson has averaged six targets per game to start the season in an offense that is throwing the ball the most of any team in the league to start the year. To make things even better, Johnson is seeing consistent targets in the red zone, giving him the real ceiling that can be a difference-maker at the TE spot for fantasy rosters. In Week 4, Johnson gets to take on the Falcons defense who has already allowed three TDs to TEs this season. Johnson will likely be one of the hotter waiver wire targets this week, and could definitely be a plug-and-play TE.
Sam LaPorta
TE - DET
Sometimes getting TE right for fantasy is just about playing the matchups, and that’s the motivation for getting Sam LaPorta back into starting lineups this week. LaPorta had a down week in Week 3, but saw a combined 15 targets in his first two games and finished as the TE8 in Week 2. What’s interesting about LaPorta for Week 4 is a juicy matchup against the Panthers, who are allowing 20 fantasy points per week to opposing teams’ TEs. Carolina has allowed a top-12 TE finish in two of their games this season, including the TE4 overall last week to Harold Fannin Jr. While LaPorta isn’t likely to be on the waiver wire, if he is on your roster, he should be a solid start at TE for Week 4.
Defenses
Minnesota Vikings
D - MIN
It is a little crazy to think about, but maybe the best defense in the league is only rostered in 50% of fantasy leagues, and that is the Minnesota Vikings. Through three weeks, the Vikings defense has recorded the most sacks (10) and interceptions (4) in the league. When it comes to picking a defense for fantasy, it is about finding a few teams to target, and Minnesota gets one of those this week when they host the Dolphins. Miami’s offense has allowed the fourth-most sacks in the league to start the year (9) and is one of only two teams that have thrown for just a single passing TD. The Vikings defense should be a team that is rostered for the remainder of the season, even if they are not an every-week starter.
Baltimore Ravens
D - BAL
While they didn’t have a great Week 3, faith should be restored for fantasy managers in the Ravens defense heading into Week 4. Some of the numbers for Baltimore’s defense do not look like a great fantasy defense, with them allowing the seventh-highest completion percentage in the league and 26 points per game to start the year. What makes Baltimore’s defense such a strong play this week is a great matchup against a Titans offense that is averaging just 5.7 yards per attempt and has thrown for just two TDs on the season. With the Ravens rostered nearly everywhere, they may not be free to add, but after a few tough matchups to start the season, they should get on track for fantasy rosters this week.
Green Bay Packers
D - GB
It didn’t quite work out for fantasy managers who tried to stream the Packers last week after the Falcons put up nearly 500 yards of offense on them last Thursday night. While it may be tough to go back to that well, it is the matchup against the Bucs, with an undrafted free agent likely starting at QB on a struggling offense, that should be appealing to fantasy managers. Through the first three weeks of the season, Tampa Bay has allowed a league-high 13 sacks and is one of just eight teams in the league averaging less than 300 total yards of offense per game. It may be stinky, but the Packers could be a decent desperation streaming defense for Week 4.
Boom Boom Kicker
Evan McPherson
K - CIN
Let’s start this by saying Kickers in fantasy are ridiculous to continue having in your league. Out of obligation, though, Evan McPherson is connected to a strong offense in Cincinnati and has been perfect this season, connecting on all eight of his FG attempts. McPherson is still pretty widely available for fantasy managers to add, and a high-profile matchup against the Jaguars in Week 4 should continue to give the Bengals kicker plenty of opportunity to contribute to fantasy rosters.
