Fantasy Football Target Trends for Week 6 (Fantasy Football)
Welcome to the Target Trends article for Week 6! With bye weeks underway, targets per game will become increasingly important, though raw target totals will remain our primary focus. Let’s start, as usual, by looking at the season-long target leaders to this point.
- Amon-Ra St. Brown leads all players with 57 targets through five weeks. Trey McBride is just one behind him with 56. Chris Olave is third with 54 targets, while CeeDee Lamb and Michael Wilson round out the top five with 51 each.
- After an insane 24 targets on Monday night, Puka Nacua is up to 45 targets in just three games. That puts him at 15 targets per game, which easily leads the league.
- McBride leads TEs in total targets, but Brock Bowers, who missed the first two weeks of the season, led the entire NFL with 11.7 targets per game before Puka Nacua exploded on Monday night. Isaiah Likely is second at the position in raw targets with 48. No other TE has reached 40 targets yet.
- Jahmyr Gibbs leads all RBs with 34 targets, or 6.8 targets per game. That puts him on pace for 116 targets over 17 games, which would easily surpass the career-high 94 he saw last season. After another eight targets on Monday night, Kyren Williams is up to 33 on the season, the second most among RBs. Ashton Jeanty is third at the position with 30 targets, while no other RB has 30 yet.
Now let’s check out this week’s target trends heading into Week 6.

Puka Nacua – 24 targets, 17 rec
We know that Puka is a must-start fantasy WR when he is on the field, but his 24 targets on Monday night put him on another level. It was the third-highest single-game target total since the NFL started tracking the stat in 1992. Only Brandon Marshall (28) and Chris Chambers (26) have ever seen more in a single game. Three players have logged 23 targets in a game, with Ja’Marr Chase’s Week 7 performance from last season being the most recent.
Malik Nabers – 20 targets, 11 rec
Isaiah Likely – 13 targets, 11 rec
Jameis Winston fed his two stud pass catchers in Week 5. It resulted in career highs for both Nabers and Likely, who combined for a 63% target share. That is probably too much to expect week to week, but Nabers and Likely should easily continue to lead the Giants in targets. The next-most-targeted players on the team, Darnell Mooney and Malachi Fields, have each seen just 17 targets all season.
George Pickens – 13 targets, 9 rec
Pickens had his first breakout game of 2026 on Thursday night, totaling a season-high 13 targets and finding the end zone for the first time. Teammate CeeDee Lamb saw just five targets before exiting early in the fourth quarter with a quad injury. If Lamb is forced to miss any time, Pickens will be poised to be a true target hog.
Drake London – 11 targets, 7 rec
London’s 11 targets in Week 5 marked a new season high. He averaged just 4.5 targets per game over the first two weeks of the season, but has seen that number jump to 9.0 targets per game over the last three weeks, coinciding with Michael Penix Jr. starting at QB. Unfortunately, Penix suffered a rib injury late in Week 5. London is a must-start fantasy WR regardless, but his value takes a hit if Penix misses more time.
Garrett Wilson – 11 targets, 7 rec
Wilson continues to, somewhat quietly, command targets. He is one of just five players above a 30.0% target share so far this season. That is nothing new for him, as he topped that threshold in two of his first four seasons and has a 28% career target share to date.

Brock Bowers – 10 targets, 8 rec
Michael Mayer – 1 target, 1 rec
Bowers had 10 targets in Week 5, which was actually a season low. He s dominating the Raiders’ target share and has found the end zone in all three games he’s played this season. Meanwhile, fellow TE Michael Mayer had been looking like a viable fantasy option, but that momentum came to a halt after he saw just one target in Week 5.
Mike Evans – 10 targets, 9 rec
Evans saw double-digit targets in Week 5, his first time hitting that mark since joining San Francisco. Meanwhile, teammate Deebo Samuel became the latest 49er WR to suffer an injury. Evans is battling through a rib injury himself, but he should continue to dominate targets for the Niners as long as he can stay on the field.
Emeka Egbuka – 9 targets, 6 rec
Ted Hurst – 0 targets, 0 rec
Egbuka had his best game of the season, tying his season-high with nine targets. He also found the end zone, not on a target, but on his lone carry. Meanwhile, rookie Ted Hurst failed to see a target for the first time this season, putting a damper on hopes that he may be close to becoming a startable fantasy option. With rookie Jalon Daniels expected to remain under center until Baker Mayfield returns from his thumb injury, Hurst’s path to fantasy relevance could be a bumpy one.
Parker Washington – 9 targets, 6 rec
Washington is the WR7 overall so far this season, but the targets have been inconsistent. You can see his weekly target breakdown in the table below.
| Week | Targets | Target % |
| 1 | 6 | 29% |
| 2 | 12 | 43% |
| 3 | 5 | 19% |
| 4 | 3 | 13% |
| 5 | 9 | 24% |
| Average | 7 | 25% |
Washington’s overall averages look solid, but there is clearly some volatility to his game.
Rome Odunze – 9 targets, 3 rec
Odunze has seen his targets increase in each game so far this season. He is yet to catch a TD pass or surpass 100 receiving yards, but at least the targets are trending in the right direction. With Caleb Williams set to return as soon as Week 6, the targets in Chicago will likely become more valuable again.
Germie Bernard – 9 targets, 6 rec
DK Metcalf – 4 targets, 3 rec
With Michael Pittman Jr. ruled out before the game and Roman Wilson leaving early with an injured finger, rookie Germie Bernard stepped up to lead the Steelers with nine targets. Somewhat surprisingly, DK Metcalf saw a season-low with just four targets. Bernard can be spot started in fantasy lineups next week, especially if Pittman and Wilson are sidelined.
Tyler Warren – 9 targets, 7 rec
Keenan Allen – 9 targets, 5 rec
Warren has seen at least five targets every week so far and is averaging 7.2 targets per game. That puts him on pace for 122 targets this season, which would be ten more than he saw as a rookie last season. He has three TDs so far this season, but the one in Week 5 came on a goal-line dive up the middle. Warren leads the Colts with 36 targets, followed closely by Josh Downs with 34. Right behind them is the seemingly ageless Keenan Allen with 29, despite missing Week 4. Allen is averaging 7.3 targets per game here in his 14th NFL season.
Dallas Goedert – 9 targets, 6 rec
After missing the last two weeks with a knee injury, Goedert posted a season-high nine targets in his return. He looks to be the top target with DeVonta Smith out, especially until or if rookie Makai Lemon gets up to speed. Goedert remains a top-12 fantasy TE, even when Smith returns.
Gavin Bartholomew – 6 targets, 5 rec
Yeah, I had never heard of him either. But when T.J. Hockenson suffered a concussion early in Week 5, and with Josh Oliver on IR, Bartholomew became Minnesota’s top TE. The Vikings go on bye in Week 6, but if Hockenson’s concussion keeps him out for Week 7, Bartholomew will be a name to know if you are desperate for a TE.
Romeo Doubs – 3 targets, 1 rec
The Patriots haven’t used Doubs as a featured pass catcher, even after making him a priority signing in the offseason and losing A.J. to an ankle injury early in the season. He has seen four or fewer targets in four of five games so far. He is tough to trust in fantasy lineups right now, and Brown’s impending return only dampens his outlook.
RJ Harvey – 1 target, 0 rec
Harvey was averaging 6.7 targets per game heading into Week 5, so it was disappointing to see him targeted just one time against the Chargers. Nine players were targeted in Denver’s offense in Week 5, with none of them seeing more than five targets. It may just be a blip on the radar for Harvey, but it is worth noting that his first dud through the air this season came as Sean Payton reclaimed playcalling duties for the Broncos.
