Week 1 Stack Report
Stacks are correlation plays that are ideal in tournaments because they help your lineup differentiate from the crowd while simultaneously putting more upside in your lineup’s range of outcomes. But stacks can absolutely be considered in cash as well if you feel the matchup is favorable enough. Stacks should always be in consideration and here are some of my favorites this week:
Cash Stacks
Drew Brees and Michael Thomas
Brees and Thomas are in my favorite spot of Week 1 and are going to absolutely smash. They get to play at home against a Buccaneers defense that ranked dead last in passing yards allowed and 31st in Pass DVOA last year. They’re sure to exploit the matchup as they’ll have the ball a lot since Ryan Fitzpatrick will struggle. Unlike the front seven, Tampa Bay failed to upgrade their secondary this offseason, creating a funnel situation toward the pass.
