NFL DFS Tournament Takes & Leverage Points: Week 4 (Fantasy Football)
This year, I’m personally writing our Tournament Takes article as a chance to dive into how I’m approaching roster percentages and my exposure in large field GPPs.
I’ll discuss our Roster Percentage Report and where I differ from it, discuss ways to gain leverage on the field, and any other slate-specific thoughts.

Roster Percentage Thoughts
My goal is to walk position-by-position through our Roster Percentage Report and talk through the most popular players. Our DFS Optimizer is a great place to compare projections, roster percentage, and overall game environments for GPPs. These percentages are based estimates using historical averages in large field tournaments.

- If this above chart isn’t evident enough, $5K QBs are going to be all the rage this week in cash builds and optimals. However, consider the stacking partners that go along with each QB for tournament purposes. Can you see Daniel Jones + Tyler Warren getting to 35+ combined DK points? Will Geno double stack or a Caleb one from that same game influence each other?
- These projected %s feel a bit flatter than how I imagine large field tournaments will actually play out.
- Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson are creeping in the mid to lower tier of roster percentages waiting to absolutely take over this slate. I really want access to these teams and their implied totals.
- Jaxson Dart is not showing as high as I initially thought and I think when push comes to shove, he gets squeezed out thanks to the emergence of Marcus Mariota late in the week. We saw Mariota crush last week so there will be comfort from people seeing 21+ DK points last week.
