NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks for Week 17 (Fantasy Football)
Welcome to the Week 17 Fanduel GPP Picks article. A GPP or tournament (we’ll use those terms interchangeably) requires you to think outside the box and build a narrative with your roster construction. With so many entries to compete with, it doesn’t do you much good to have the same “chalk” roster as 5,000 other jabronis. We’re looking for positive correlations in our stacking options and games where we can get different from the field.
For a deeper dive into GPP strategy, check out the Tournament Strategy episode Borg and Betz put out last season, and stay locked into the DFS and Betting Podcast for a full breakdown of the week’s main slate.
GPP/Tournament and Cash games require fundamentally different approaches; however, I recommend checking out the Weekly Cash Picks article for value picks that could pay off in either format (Payne Durham, anyone?).
Set your rosters, but mark your calendar for Saturday to check Borg’s DFS Best Plays, arguably the most valuable article in the DFS Pass.
Quarterbacks
Jayden Daniels vs. ATL – $8500
Only Josh Allen is more expensive than Daniels this week, but he might be too cheap to pass up. In addition to his ever-present rushing upside, Daniels faces off against Atlanta in Week 17. Rule of thumb: play quarterbacks against Atlanta. The Falcons’ defense is tied for 31st in passing touchdowns allowed and has allowed the fifth-most rushing attempts by quarterbacks this season. Daniels is averaging 2.7 points per $1k and can be played on his own or stacked with options from either team in a game with a healthy 47.5 total.
