NFL DFS cash games are all about building a high-floor lineup that can win in head-to-heads, 50/50s, and double-ups. Each week I’ll highlight my favorite cash game picks that I have some confidence heading into the weekend to put into my player pools.

For more on cash game strategy and the mechanics of it, make sure you listen to our DFS Cash Overview episode. Be sure you’re also subscribed to the DFS Podcast where Kyle and I go through the main slate every Friday and recap each slate on Tuesdays. Let’s get after it!

*Note: Plays listed below are in order of salary, NOT necessarily ranked by preferred plays. I’ll be updating this article from Friday – Sunday pending any news, so be sure to check back prior to lock!

Quarterbacks

For Cash Games this week, I’m only looking at these two QBs. I typically write up three to give DFS Pass members a third option, but to me, these two standout as the premier cash game plays on the slate. My QB GPP targets will be available on Friday.

Patrick Mahomes $7,900
With Josh Allen‘s status up in the air due to his elbow injury, Mahomes becomes the de facto QB1 on the slate in terms of pricing, and he looks as safe as they come as far as what we’re looking for from our cash game QB. Mahomes leads the NFL in passing yards and passing TDs, averaging 325.6 yards and 2.6 scores per game, and now he gets a plus matchup at home against the Jags with Vegas expecting the Chiefs to score 30 (!!) points. KC leads the NFL in pass rate over expectation and PROE in the red zone, giving Mahomes access to 300+ and 3+ TD every time he takes the field. If you want to spend up, I can’t argue.
