Game Outlook
It’s hard to believe it, but we’re almost 50% of the way through the regular season. We turn the page to Week 8 in the NFL when the 3-3 Vikings travel to LA for a Thursday night matchup with the 4-3 Chargers with this one currently sitting at a modest 44.5 total and the spread sitting at just a field goal. Given the tight spread here, we should expect these teams to be able to run their offenses the way they’d like, unless things go sideways from a game script perspective. We’ll start on the Bolts’ side here with the Chargers ranking third in the NFL in both pass rate over expectation (+7.3%) and neutral pass rate (64%). They’ve posted a positive weekly PROE rate in six of seven games so far this year, and given the never-ending RB injuries (see below), we should continue to expect another pass-first game plan on Thursday night.
