Gus Edwards, RB (BAL)

Loses ground in backfield split

Edwards rushed the ball eight times for 26 yards in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Chargers. He added one catch on one reception for 11 yards.

Edwards was limited to single-digit carries for only the third time this season, as Lamar Jackson and Keaton Mitchell both outpaced him. The loss of work to Mitchell is particularly concerning, as the rookie has generally been a more efficient runner than Edwards, and he could become more incorporated into the offense down the stretch. Even if that's the case, Edwards should retain his goal-line role, giving him a decent chance to find the end zone on a weekly basis.

"[Beckham]'s become a great friend of mine and a friend to the Ravens," DeCosta said Tuesday. "I think we'll just kind of assess and see what happens over the next couple of weeks."
