Rashawn Slater, OL (LAC)

Officially goes on IR

Slater (biceps) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

Slater suffered a ruptured biceps tendon in the Chargers' 38-10 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. After he underwent additional tests, Slater's injury was determined to be severe enough to require season-ending surgery, so the move to injured reserve is just a formality. Slater will now focus on being ready for the 2023 season, while rookie Jamaree Salyer should take over as the starting left tackle beginning in Week 4 against the Texans.
