Jones is slowly trending in the right direction, logging limited practices Thursday and Friday after opening the week with an absence. Even so, the rookie third-round pick most likely will remain sidelined this weekend. If he sits out Week 3, Jones' next opportunity to make his NFL debut will come Week 4 at the Giants.
