Feeling better but misses practice
Mathieu (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday, but Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the defensive back is doing well and has a chance to play Sunday against the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, Ben Volin of The Boston Globe reports.
Mathieu and Chiefs nickelback Rashad Fenton (back) are expected to be the only starters listed on the injury reports for either team ahead of Sunday's contest. Fenton missed the first two weeks of the playoffs, but his return to practice Wednesday combined with Reid's optimism on Mathieu suggests the Chiefs could have a healthy secondary by Sunday.
