Inactive versus 49ers
Valdes-Scantling (back) is listed as inactive for Saturday's wild-card game against the 49ers, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Valdes-Scantling came down with a back injury Week 18 at Detroit, and while he logged a limited practice when the Packers reconvened Tuesday, he proceeded to miss back-to-back sessions to close out this week. On Thursday, coach Matt LaFleur termed Valdes-Scantling doubtful to play in the team's postseason opener, and he'll sit this one out. In a fortunate turn of events, Randall Cobb completed his recovery from core muscle surgery and was activated from injured reserve Thursday, so he'll join Davante Adams and Allen Lazard in three-wide sets Saturday.
