Michael Gallup, WR (DAL)

Hasn't had surgery yet

Coach Mike McCarthy revealed Wednesday that Gallup (knee) hasn't yet had surgery to repair his torn ACL, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

This isn't out of the ordinary, as it often takes a few weeks for swelling to subside after an ACL injury, even when it's a "clean tear" like Gallup's without significant damage to surrounding ligaments. As of Wednesday, it'd been two and a half weeks since Gallup suffered the injury in a Week 17 loss to Arizona. Still, the timing at the end of the season does put him in serious danger of missing the start of the 2022 campaign, a major complication as he's scheduled for unrestricted free agency this spring.
