Could be activated for Week 18
Coach Frank Reich relayed Friday that the Colts may activate Campbell (foot) from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's contest in Jacksonville, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports. "I thought he had a good week," Reich said, "and we just need to see how he continues to respond."
The Colts designated Campbell for return from IR during Week 17 prep, but they opted not to activate him for what ultimately was a 23-20 loss to the Raiders this past Sunday. With more than a week of drills under his belt, he appears to have a much better chance this time around to get back on the active roster, a decision that must be made by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET. If he finally makes his return from a Week 6 foot fracture, Campbell would join a receiving corps currently composed of regulars like Michael Pittman, T.Y. Hilton, Zach Pascal and Ashton Dulin.
