Done for '21 season

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Friday that Seibert (hip) won't return from injured reserve this season, Benjamin Raven of MLive.com reports.

Seibert is first eligible to return from IR this weekend against the Vikings after missing the requisite three games with a right hip injury, but since he's not even in condition to resume practicing at this stage, the Lions don't have confidence he'll be able to make it back before Week 18. While Seibert has been sidelined, the Lions have used three kickers in as many games. With Ryan Santoso and Aldrick Rosas having since been moved off the 53-man roster, the job looks like it belongs to Riley Patterson for the time being. The undrafted rookie out of Memphis connected on both of his extra-point attempts last week in his NFL debut in the Lions' 16-14 loss to the Bears.
