Disappointing season continues
Barkley ran for 40 yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 13 yards on five targets against the Giants on Sunday.
The matchup against Philadelphia was a somewhat favorable one on paper, but Barkley again couldn't generate much yardage with his usage. It's possible that the ankle he injured this year continues to hold him back, and that's not to even mention the possibility that his surgically-repaired knee might still be working its way back to 100 percent. Whatever the case, Barkley's trademark explosiveness has yet to show up in the box score in 2021. Although he hasn't been able to cash in on favorable matchups this season, Barkley has such a scenario in front of him in the form of a Week 13 matchup against the Dolphins.
