Amari Cooper, WR (DAL)

Not experiencing virus symptoms

Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that Cooper was asymptomatic upon testing positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 19, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Because he's unvaccinated, Cooper is still subject to an automatic 10-day quarantine, which made him ineligible to play in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Chiefs as well as the team's upcoming Thanksgiving Day game against the Raiders. Assuming Cooper remains asymptomatic over his final days of quarantine, he should be ready to rejoin the Cowboys when first eligible to do so Nov. 27. Cooper's ability to resume working out with the team in the minimum amount of time is critical, as the Cowboys will be preparing for another Thursday game Week 12 in New Orleans. On a positive note, Jones acknowledged that Cooper's two-week respite should allow him to move past the hamstring injury that had nagged him in recent games.
