Out for another week
Colts head coach Frank Reich said Tuesday that Hilton (neck) is getting "close" to a return from injured reserve, but he doesn't expect the wideout to resume practicing this week, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
Hilton has spent the entire season on IR after requiring surgery in early September to address a disc issue in his neck. The Colts haven't pinpointed a target date for Hilton's return, but if he's ready to practice as soon as next week, he could have a shot at being added back to the 53-man roster ahead of the team's Week 7 game in San Francisco. Second-year wideout Michael Pittman has been the greatest beneficiary of Hilton's absence so far this season, as he's drawn no fewer than seven targets in any of the last four games while handling heavy snap shares each time out.
