Deebo Samuel, WR (SF)

Scores on ground

Samuel caught three of nine targets for 58 yards against Arizona on Sunday, adding a 13-yard touchdown carry.

Samuel didn't have the greatest fantasy showing in Week 5, but the nine-target workload reiterates his indisputable WR1 status within the 49ers offense, and the rushing touchdown is a reminder that he's not truly dependent on the pass to produce. Rookie quarterback Trey Lance struggled to get Samuel the ball in the tough matchup, yet Samuel still found a way to give his fantasy investors some help. It's not clear whether Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) will be ready to return after the Week 6 bye, but if he does there's reason to think Samuel might get back on track as a pass catcher.
