Mark Ingram II, RB (HOU)

Abbreviated workload in Week 3

Ingram rushed six times for 21 yards and secured his only target for minus-1 yard in the Texans' 24-9 loss to the Panthers on Thursday night.

Ingram's rushing yardage tally did pace the Texans on the night, but given how lackluster a game it was for the ground attack, that's faint praise. The veteran would appear to have clear possession of the lead-back role at the moment -- Phillip Lindsay logged one more carry Thursday yet averaged under 1.0 yard per tote -- but he could certainly find running room at a premium again in a Week 4 road matchup against the Bills on Sunday, Oct. 3 due rookie quarterback Davis Mills not presenting as an imposing threat to a talented Buffalo defense.
