Danny Amendola, WR (HOU)

Could face multi-week absence

Amendola didn't practice Tuesday and could miss 2-to-3 weeks due to the thigh injury he suffered in Sunday's 31-21 loss to the Browns, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Houston already placed another wideout Nico Collins (shoulder) on injured reserve Tuesday, and Amendola could soon join him if the Texans get the sense that the veteran slot man is trending toward the longer end of that estimated recovery timeline. The Texans have yet to provide many specifics about Amendola's injury or confirm the reported timeline, though head coach David Culley admitted Tuesday that the 35-year-old receiver likely won't play Thursday against the Panthers. Culley said that Anthony Miller would be active for the first time this season Thursday, and Miller will likely replace Amendola as Houston's primary option out of the slot.
