Danny Amendola, WR (HOU)

Expected to sit out Week 3

Texans head coach David Culley acknowledged Tuesday that Amendola (thigh) likely won't be available for Thursday's game against the Panthers, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Meanwhile, Culley said that Anthony Miller -- who has been inactive for the Texans' first two games in coach's decisions while returning from a dislocated shoulder suffered in the preseason -- will be active Week 3, likely stepping into Amendola's role as Houston's top slot receiver. Before exiting Sunday's loss to the Browns with a thigh injury, Amendola had produced six receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown on six targets across his 28 offensive snaps through Houston's first two contests. The veteran receiver wasn't able to practice Monday due to the injury, and barring a major step forward in his activity for the next two days, he'll be included among the Texans' inactives Thursday.
