Works efficiently in Week 2

Williams recorded 13 rushing attempts for 64 yards in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Jaguars. He added one reception for 10 yards.

Williams ended the game with the same number of rushes as Melvin Gordon, and the pair often alternated plays on the same drive. Despite identical workloads on the ground, Williams out-gained Gordon by 33 yards -- though Gordon was far more effective as a receiver. Williams managed to record double-digit yardage on three of his 13 carries, the longest of which went for 16 yards. Through two weeks, Williams seems to be the more consistently effective rusher compared to Gordon. Though it will likely take time, he should lead the Broncos' backfield at some point this season.
