Jerry Jeudy, WR (DEN)

Multi-week absence expected

Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said Monday that Jeudy will "miss some time" after an MRI confirmed the wideout is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. A source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN that Jeudy could be facing a 4-to-6 week absence.

Fangio didn't rule out the possibility of placing Jeudy on short-term injured reserve, which would entail a minimum absence of three weeks. Either way, Jeudy is looking at a multi-week recovery, and he safely can be ruled out for at least the Broncos' Week 2 game in Jacksonville. Before departing with the injury in Sunday's season-opening win over the Giants, Jeudy hauled in six of seven targets for 72 yards.
