Quiet in season debut
McKissic had one carry for eight yards and one incomplete target in Sunday's 2016 loss to the Chargers.
McKissic played 36 percent of snaps on offense, mostly replacing Antonio Gibson in obvious passing situations. Pretty much everything worked against McKissic in this one, with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) exiting early and Washington ultimately attempting only 21 passes in a game where the opponent dominated possession. McKissic should see a few more touches Thursday night against the Giants, but it does seem the backfield split has shifted more toward Gibson (20 carries, five targets Sunday) in his second pro season.
